What's behind the mixture screw?? I bought a 95 Savage for my girlfriend a few weeks ago. So I popped out the carb the other day and looked to see if the spacer had been pulled. It hadn't so I took it out and then decided to play around with the mixture a bit. The plug was already gone and the screw was all scratched up. i tried to fiddle with it, but the head is stripped. So I tried to pull it out with an ez out, but that just mangled it up. Now I've I got a nasty mess of brass and aluminum? where the screw used to be. So, my question is what's going to happen if I try to drill the d*#$ thing out with a drill press and tap the hole for a bigger screw. Is it the screw itself that controls the mixture or is there some component back there that I'll destroy. If so, can it be replaced? Any help would be greatly appreciated. The bike runs, but it still backfires (a lot) and it has these loud pipes on it that make it even worse. This is a great bike, especially for my girlfriend and i want to get it running nice.
Thanks.
